Welcome back to our Cruising Issue! I’m happy to see this issue return again to our line-up for the first time since 2019 — and there’s no doubt cruising is back … and with a vengeance. As I’m writing this, I’m seeing news come out about more and more cruise lines loosening restrictions and welcoming even more cruisers back to staterooms and shore excursions. Have you cruised since the pandemic? And whether yes or no, are you planning to cruise soon? Tell me more about your post-pandemic cruise experience by emailing me at I’d love to hear from you. For me, the answers to my above questions are yes and yes! My husband Scott and I cruised earlier this year with new-to-the-game Virgin Voyages, and we had a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Read more about our time on page 21. While we don’t currently have another scheduled cruise, we’re hoping to take another river cruise, an Alaskan cruise and to get to the Mediterranean on a cruise in the future. We did our best to bring you as much as we could from the world’s cruise lines in this issue. Read more about Silversea, American Queen Voyages, Hurtigruten, Princess Cruises, Amawaterways, Holland America Line, Regent Seven Seas, Celebrity Cruises and many, many more on the following pages. If you’ve ever considered an around-the-world cruise, check out Rina Nehdar’s report on page 40, and take a look at the newest ships coming to the seas with Eugenia Lazaris on page 44. In other exciting news, Global Traveler recently debuted our redesigned app, making it easier than ever for subscribers to access the magazine. Available to download from the App Store or Google Play, the app offers subscribers a digital version of our magazine along with special features including on-demand narration and article-sharing options.
